Pujara on his comparison with Dravid
Cheteshwar Pujara is often compared with Rahul Dravid because both the players have similar batting techniques. Despite respecting the former captain of the Indian team, Pujara says that he has never tried to copy him. He further said that the similarity comes due to the same thought process that he had learned, which taught him that scoring a 100 alone is not enough; one has to carry his team.
Pujara also said that Rahul Bhai has always been an inspiration to him and will continue to be. He has learned to take responsibility for the team by increasing the big total and playing for the team. This is something he learned from his junior cricket days, where he used to play for Saurastrata that was considered as a weaker team back them in domestic cricket.
